Dear friends!

I welcome everyone to visit Penza zoo site.

If you are here, it means, you are not an indifferent person; you are our soul mate!

A human being leaves less and less space for wildlife on the Planet. The more and more frequent manmade disasters imply irreparable losses of the unique flora and fauna species. The complete unification of the available resources is the only thing to let the Earth biosphere survive.

If we fail to save other species, we will fail to save ourselves.

Zoo – is it the last hope for wild animals?
Time gives answer to this question. Some species parturiating in captivity are already rehabilitated in natural habitats: California condor (Gymnogyps californianus), European Bison (Bison bonasus), American Bison (Bison bison), Arabian Oryx (Oryx leucoryx), Golden Lion Tamarin (Leontideus rosalia), Przewalski's Horse (Equus przewalskii). The zoos are the islands of life in the world where the war for destruction of every living being is held; the war which sizes can not be foreseen, but it is us who are responsible for this to the future generations.

Dear visitors,

You will learn about zoo nurslings’ life, obtain information about rare plants and animals enlisted in the Red book, get acquainted with documentation about zoo activities accepted in Russia and abroad. The site visitors will be the first to know about our educative activity and scientific researches especially concerning breeding birds and animals.

We hope for the constant connection with you. You may address any question or send e-mail to any official of the zoo.

We invite you to a serious conversation and partnership.

Only joint efforts can help Zoo become better and save lives of its dwellers!
